Serenity Space finds permanent home in Student Union
The space launched as a pop-up designed for students’ relaxation, quiet moments and calming activities.

A serenity space for students now has a more permanent home in the Frank Porter Graham Student Union for students to relax and recharge during finals. The space is open on the third floor, near the aquarium lounge.
With a renewed space for relaxation, the space offers quiet moments, calming activities like coloring, mindfulness and a place to unwind. It features both high- and low-sensory areas, including ambient noise, low lighting and comfortable seating.
The pop-up serenity space launched with support from the Carolina Union, Student Wellness, New Student and Family Programs and the LGBTQ Center, among others.
