Faculty members in the School of Medicine, College of Arts & Sciences and Eshelman School of Pharmacy have been elected fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, one of the most distinct honors within the scientific community.
The program, which has been offered routinely since 2010 to doctoral students at UNC-Chapel Hill, asks participants to deliberately set aside time — as much as 15 hours a week — for dissertation work.
Kennedy Miller, a senior studying vocal performance and English in the College of Arts & Sciences, is Carolina's 22nd Marshall Scholar. The prestigious Marshall Scholarship funds graduate studies in any field at up to two institutions in the United Kingdom.
