UNC Strava Club

More than 560 Tar Heels are competing, training and staying active together through Campus Rec's UNC Strava Club, which hosts multi-week challenges that encourage members to get moving — no matter their fitness level or access to facilities. Challenges range from running and swimming to a short hike and bodyweight exercises.

    Intramural sports

    With competitions ranging from flag football and volleyball to wallyball and cornhole, the intramural sports program provides structured leagues for the entire Carolina community.

    Ultimate Frisbee: The Darkside

    Since 2012, Carolina’s Darkside club ultimate frisbee team has advanced to the national finals each year, winning national championships in 2015 and 2018.

    Darkside is just one of four ultimate frisbee clubs at Carolina, including two for men and two for women. In addition to in-state rivals like NC State and UNC-Wilmington, Darkside plays teams from around the country and Canada.

    Carolina Jump Rope

    Rising junior Sarah Paschal has spent the past two years training and performing with Carolina Jump Rope. The group competes against other universities and jump rope clubs from around the country and dazzles crowds with spins and flips.
