UNC World View has partnered with Smithsonian Folkways, the nonprofit record label of the Smithsonian Institution, to distribute free educational materials that incorporate global music into K-12 classrooms.

Awardees address critical global challenges in all disciplines while building relationships, knowledge and leadership in support of the long-term interests of the United States.
Yasemin Cole and Daniel Malawsky will both be attending the University of Cambridge pursuing doctoral degrees in genomic sciences.
