In a campus email, Lee H. Roberts wrote about the way Carolina continues to support western North Carolina and expressed his gratitude to Tar Heels for their remarkable spirit of kindness and generosity.
"We must continue expanding our reach and ensuring that our University reflects the dynamism and evolution of the state that we serve," Roberts said in his speech.
“Today marks a new chapter in the inheritance of a remarkable legacy,” Roberts said in his speech.
He spoke at University Day about UNC-Chapel Hill's unbreakable bond with the state.
