The General Alumni Association has awarded the medals since 1978 to alumni and others who have provided outstanding service to the association or the University.
While much remains unknown about the circumstances, we nonetheless grieve along with the families and friends of the victims, the Niner community and the people of Charlotte.
On behalf of the University, Interim Chancellor Kevin M. Guskiewicz extends condolences to the families and friends of the victims and to the Chabad of Poway congregants.
